The RSD-S-PLC rapid shutdown units are part of a PV Rapid Shutdown solution to meet 2017/2020 NEC 690.12 specifications. PVRSS certified module-level rapid shutdown is enabled when APS RSD-S-PLC products are installed with CPS 25/50/60kW inverters (APS RSD wire-box versions available).
RSD-S-PLC meets SunSpec requirements, maintaining normal function by continually receiving a heart-beat signal from the APsmart Transmitter. The RSD executes rapid system shutdown when Transmitter signal is absent. Users can manually execute rapid shutdown using Transmitter breaker switch. Compatible with SunSpec PLC inverters.
